Sahara and Sahel Observatory

Nabil BEN KHATRA is an agricultural engineer (INAT-Tunis) and RS and GIS specialist with 23 years of experience in the development of environmental surveillance tools and associated knowledge management systems. After SILAT Master Degree (ENGREF-Montpellier), he began his professional career working for 5 years in the National Remote Sensing Center followed by 3 years at the Ministry of Environment (Tunisia). In 2003, he joined the Sahara and Sahel Observatory (OSS) as a Monitoring & Evaluation Expert and was appointed Environment Program Coordinator since 2008, leading projects and several works based on Geospatial technology to provide solution and data on the different environmental issues and development challenges for Africa.
